Reflexologist

Tracey Anderson

Reflexology is a focussed pressure technique, usually directed at the feet or hands. It is based on the premise that there are zones and reflexes on different parts of the body which correspond to and are relative to all parts, glands and organs of the entire body.

How does Reflexology work?

When the reflexes are stimulated, the body’s natural electrical energy works so long for the nervous system to clear any blockages in the corresponding zones. A reflexology session seems to break up deposits which may interfere with the body's electrical energy in the nervous system. Manipulating specific reflexes removes stress, activating a parasympathetic response in the body to enable the blockages to be released by a physiological change in the body. With stress removed in circulation in Hanst, the body is allowed to return to a state of homeostasis.

A reflexologist applies gentle pressure to detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet or hands, by working on these points can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body. Tensions are eased and circulation improved.

This completely safe and gentle therapy encourages the body to heal itself at its own pace.

Reiki

Reiki is a non-invasive “hands-on” energy healing modality. It works with each individual’s life force energy or “ki”, the energy that is in and around all living things. The effects of harsh situations such as stress or illness can impact the balance and flow of this energy through the body’s subtle energy fields (aura, chakras) Reiki assists in re-establishing positive flow, bringing a feeling of peacefulness, harmony, and balance. A Reiki practitioner simply acts as a vessel for the energy by placing their hands in various positions around the body during a treatment.

Reiki focuses on seven main energy centers, called chakras, in your body. The energy should flow freely through your chakras in order for you to be spiritually, physically, and mentally healthy. Practitioners believe that if energy paths are blocked, you may feel ill or weak or have pain.

Chakra Balancing

What is Chakra Balancing?

According to ancient Ayurveda, (knowledge of healing body/mind connections), chakras are invisible disks of spinning energy located throughout our bodies. There are 7 main chakras in the body – each one represents a physical, emotional, and energetic portion of ourselves and sends energy to the nearby organs, bones, and tissues. The energy is absorbed and transforms energy into nourishment for our physical, emotional, and spiritual selves. If we experience situations in life that may have come from stress, negativity, or illness, they can imprint and get stuck in the chakras. Closed or blocked can diminish our energy; we could feel tired, depressed, or emotional. Clearing and releasing the energy helps us to achieve overall body/mind well-being.

Blocked chakras can often lead to illness, so it’s important to understand what each chakra represents and what we can do to keep this energy flowing freely.
